if i trace the wires (wraped in black tape) back a couple inches it would appear there is a splice (also wraped in black tape on drivers side) that then goes to a solenoid just under the dipstick and brake fluid holder...the connector in to this solenoid is what my mechanic unplugged...same on passenger side except the solenoid is by the battery...does this make sense or should I just plug those connections back in and unplug the black square connectors that you mentioned? the way it is now seems to be working...
